October 23rd, 2006Since the Door County Supervisors meet during the day it’s nearly impossible for the average joe to voice his or her thoughts directly to the board. Tomorrow, October 23 is a great oportunity to do just that. The Leauge fo Women Voters is hosting a forum on the proposed Door County 2007 budget at the Sturgeon Bay Public Library at 6:30pm.
At the forum, County Administrator Michael Serpe will give a presentation on the proposed budget. Once he wraps it up the floor will be open to citizens to ask questions or give comments. Unfortunately Mike is the only supervisor scheduled to show. Don’t know why more supervisors won’t chance a direct meeting with the unwashed masses. So unforturnately Administrator Serpe will be the only one we can vent to, err I mean speak with. What he is doing takes some guts, so lets remain civil while making our points.
So get to the forum, ask hard questions, and above all participate!
